Fantastic performances last week from our junior hurlers, U11, U10, U9 Boys and our ladies seniors, minors and U16's. Special thanks to Paudie Butler / Stephan behan for a highly successful hurling workshop on Friday night for CCC1 mentors and also to our U11/12 hurlers for demonstrating the drills (video on website later). Thanks to all volunteers for making Lá na gClub and the BBQ such a great success on Sunday. Diary: Thursday May 17th Opera Night (Maura Devine). TEAM of the week is The Dublin U21 All Ireland Footballers following a brilliant All Ireland win over Roscommon on Sunday with our own Jack McCaffrey playing a pivotal role. Congrats also to Sarah McCaffrey and Margaret Mohan following The Dubs victory over Meath in the Leinster Ladies Minor ‘A' championship final last Saturday. Great wins last week for our minor hurlers and our U16 footballers. Commiserations to our U14 footballers for under achieving in the Féile at the weekend. Also a special thanks to all our volunteers for making An Féile a great success up at The Rose Gardens. All competing teams were very complimentary about the quality of our pitches. Team of the week is our U9 footballers beating St Vincents this weekend. Notable performers were Killian Keogh, Samuel Byrne and Mark Heanue. Good wins also recorded from our U16,12 and 11 juvenile boys. Good wins also achieved by our U13 and U12 juvenile girls. Team of the week has to be our Girls U14B squad after winning their Féile final on Saturday in Parnell Park. Commiserations to our U14A squad on just losing out in their division 2 final after extra time. Brilliant performances over the past week from our junior footballers and also our juvenile boys at U14,13,12,11 and 9 levels. Our U14 footballers had a vital div 1 win over Na Fianna in a game of the highest standard in St Annes to move top of the table. Our U13 footballers also had a fantastic away win beating a well fancied Naomh Mearnóg side with a great 2nd half scoring blitz to move top of division 2. Our juvenile girls also recorded great wins at U12,11,9 and 8 levels. Please see extended club notes for match reports. Congrats to Mathais McDonagh who played for The Dublin Minor Footballers in their win over Carlow in the 1st round of the Leinster Championship last Saturday. Congrats also to our Dublin Ladies Minor panelists Stephanie Adams, Sarah McCaffrey, and Margaret Mohan following their victory over Laois in The leinster Championship last week. Special thanks to Kilkenny star Paddy Hogan, Dublin star Peter Kelly and our GPO Stephen Behan for running our Hurling School Of Excellence Camp last week. Mentors night is in the club this Thurs - turn up, have the craic and meet your fellow colleagues. Girls Football Féile is in Portmarnock this sat april 21st. We have 2 teams competing for the 1st time so please turn up and support the girls.

Thanks to Dubs Michael Dara MacAuley, Dean Rock, Darragh Nelson, Johnny Cooper and GPO Stephen Behan for running football school of excellence last week. Congrats to Jack McCaffrey and the Dublin U21 team that defeated Louth, winning Leinster title last Wednesday. Remember school of excellence hurling camp this Tue/Thurs 14:30-16:30 for U13/14/15/16 in St Paul's. Kilkenny star Paddy Hogan and Dublin star David "Dotsey" O'Callaghan will run the show. Still a few spaces available - register and play on the day. Thanks to all volunteers that helped re sod the goalmouths on pitches 34/35 on Good Friday. The Senior Mens Footballers recorded their third league win on the trot with a (0-11,0-8) victory over St Pats of Donabate, thanks to a storming final 20 minutes. Our Senior ladies recorded a fine cup win over Fingallians and now meet the same opposition in the league this Wed, pitch 35, 7:30pm, please support. Both U16 Football teams recorded good win's at the weekend, the A's over Castknock in Div 1 and the B's over Ballinteer, thanks to (3-1) from Sean Giles. U13 Footballers also recorded A and B team wins. U12A Hurlers defeated Raheny and Stars of Erin this week, while the B's performed well despite a defeat to St. Annes. U11 Hurlers battled well against 2 strong Kilamcud sides. The U16 and U15 girls both recorded excellent victories, while the U12 Girls A team defeated Plunketts to remain unbeaten in their league. A very happy new year to all club members and best of luck to all teams for the upcoming season. Adult subs renewal letters have gone out. Please ensure that you sign and return ASAP. An upcoming date for your diary is the Chairman’s Night, which is been held in the club on 28th Jan. Thanks to neighbours Naomh Barróg for hosting our u14 footballers in 2 friendlies last Saturday. The A’s won narrowly while the B’s lost out by a similar margin. Anyone hosting boys for this year’s hurling féile must return Garda vetting forms ASAP. Finally the club would like to offer sincere condolences to Uachtarán Cluain Tarbh Stephen Ó Móráin, his sister in law Regina and family on the death of his brother and former member Liam late last year.
