Senior Footballers opened their league campaign with a draw V St. Brigids (2-8,2-8), clawing back an 11pt deficit in the 2nd half. Brigids led (1-0,1-7) at the interval and they tagged on a further goal and a point within 5 minutes of the start of the 2nd half. Great credit to Clontarf for a gritty comeback to grab a valuable league point.
Junior A's opened their league campaign (AFL 6) with another excellent team performance to defeat Civil Service (2-7,1-3). Redmond O'Leary, John Traenor and Conor Keane all outstanding.
Willie O'Connors Junior B's won their 1st league game (AFL 9) with an away win V Ballyboden SE (1-7,0-6). Chris Morrissey, Eoin Cronin and Aidan O'Halloran were all in top form.
Newly formed Junior C team were narrowly defeated in their opening league (AFL12 North) game by Starlights (2-7,2-8). There were great contributions from 2 minors, with Ciaran Johnson netting 2 goals and Ian O'Dwyer scoring 5 fine points. Ronan O'Neill was Clontarf's star performer, while up front veteran Johnny Giles (captain) worked tirelessly to set up several scores.
Adult Hurlers training continues every Mon and Wed. First League/Championship game next Sunday V Liffey Gaels.
U16 Footballers narrowly defeated by Castleknock (1-11,3-8)
U15A Footballers had a great win V Naomh Barrog, best were Mark Plunkett, Brian Forde, Eoin Hickey and Jack McCaffrey.
U14A Footballers were beaten by a strong Fingallians side in the 2nd round of the Feile, best for Clontarf were captain Maitias Mc Donagh, Eamonn Heneghan and Morgan Walsh.
U14B Footballers did not play in div 6 of the Feile as Templeogue conceded.
U13A Footballers won their final grading match V St. Brigids(4-6,1-9) and will now compete in Div 1 of the all-county league this season.2 goals by Mark Glennon in the 2nd half swung the game for Clontarf. Great high fielding by midfielder Luke Trench was a feature, while dogged defence by Kevin Mullins and Patrick Foley was the foundation for this success.
U13B Footballers were narrowly defeated by Lucan Sarsfields (2-3,2-7) despite a valiant effort from a depleted side. Clontarf played into a strong wind in their 1st half and produced a stirring comeback in the 2nd half. Kevin McConnell scored a goal, Michael O'Keefe contributed 2pts and Daniel Russell scored a pt.
U11 hurlers had a comfortable victory over Whitehall..
U10's lost to Na Fianna despite great contributions from Sean O'Shea, Donal O'Dwyer and Liam Howley
Ladies Juniors continue to train ahead of 1st game on April 2nd.
U16 Girls had a good win over O'Tooles, best was Claire Winterson.

Ladies presentaion night was a big success with medal presentations to 2007 League winners U13's, to Shield winners U11's and U12's and to Shield runners up U15's. Thanks to Dara Terry for the great organisation of this event. Special thank you to Cliondha O Connor, Goalkeeper with the Dublin Ladies team and All Star goalkeeper for presenting the medals and Lyn Savage Dublin Ladies Gaelic Development officer for promoting the Ready Steady Play course being held in the Clubhouse next Thursday 13th at 7.30 pm.
Tickets for the Dublin V Monaghan league clash on Sat must be ordered today from club secretary Kieran McMahon (086-1791120). Best of luck to neighbors St. Vincents in the All-Ireland Club final on Monday.

Condolences to Junior hurler Ciaran Kelly on the passing of his father and to Paul Doolin (barman) on the passing of his father. Well done to John Carr, who was awarded Donegal person of the year.
