Team of the week are the U14 Hurlers who recorded a fine win over St. Marks (1-10,0-3) in the 1st round of the Feile, with an excellent team performance.
Seniors were defeated in the AIB cup by Parnells (1-9,0-9), but this was a positive performance despite the loss. Clontarf showed good commitment on the pitch and had most of the possession. Unfortunetly mishandling, misdirected passes and too much back chat to the ref handed Parnells a lot of scoring opportunities.
In the Senior Championship, we have been drawn in Group 1 along with (St Brigids,Ballymun Kickhams,St Maurs).
Junior Hurlers received a walkover in the opening League game V St. Brigids. In the draw for the Junior 'B' Championship we have been drawn in Group 2 along with (Naomh Fionnbarra,O' Dwyers,Crumlin,Kevins,St Brigids).
Junior A Footballers lost in the Stacey cup to Fingal Ravens (0-5,1-5), while the Junior B Sheriden Cup game V Naomh Barrog was called off.
The Junior A's have been drawn away against Garda in the 1st round of the Championship, a team they defeated at the same stage in 2005. The B's will play Peregrines away. The Junior C team will play the winners of Man O'War/Parnells in Round 1.
Both Minor matches were off, training continues every Wed, 7:30 on Astro.
U16 hurling V Olafs was called off after the ref correctly declared the pitch unplayable. Both teams were togged out and on the pitch.
U13 hurling V Setanta called off. U11's lost in a thrilling friendly game V St. Vincents.
U10's had superb wins V St. Brigids. Dillon Confrey, Patrick Smith, Jack Higgins, Stephen Roche and Cormac McIoughney were all in excellent form.
