Under 12 Football – All 3 teams competed this weekend.
U12A had a great and very important win over keen rivals Castleknock on Saturday on P 30.  The prize for the winners of this game was qualification for the semi-finals of the cup competition, the first stage in determining which teams which form Division 1 of the all city league at u-13 in 2009.  We saw a great display of hungry and skillful football, with impressive link play.  Clontarf , aided by a strong wind, had a whirlwind start and led 3-7 to 0-1 at half time.  Final score was 4-7 to 0-7.  Everyone did well for us but particularly impressive were Gavin Daly, Jordan Mulvany and Cian O'Flaherty
U12B didn't fare so well.  We met a very strong Whitehall A team.  Again, everyone tried their very best (which is all we ever ask) but we were unable to cope with the skill of their key players.  Whitehall are the strongest team in this group.  Sean Giles and Tieghernan O'Connor led by example.
U12C did us proud, as usual, against Man o' War.  We were much too strong for a gallant opposition and ran out winners by 6-7 to 0-0.  Conor Smyth excelled, as did John Hannan.
Under 11 – are this weeks TEAM OF THE WEEK. They defeated St. Vincents midweek and then had a hard fought win over Raheny in the Cup quarter final. Thanks to 2 goals from Barry Davis and great performances from Kevin Mangan and Fiach Beechinor.

Cluain Tarbh A 25 V Raheny 20. Cluain Tarbh B lost St Periguines Won.

Under 10 – Cluain Tarbh A 88 V Castleknock 39. Excellent performances from Robbie Murphy / Jack Polion / Martin Byrne. Cluain Tarbh B 38 V St Pats ( D ) 18 Excellent performances from Cian Walsh / Ronan Dunlea / Conor Clinton
