Report on the 1st Hurling match of the season, Mar 1st 2008

Cluain Tarbh 7-3, Whitehall 5-3

Tough batte in first half against the wind with great defense by James Doyle, Sean McGovern, Thomas Craddock & Sean McCullough. Down at half time by 3pts. Went out for full blooded attack at start of second half. Early longrange goal by Paddy Foley gave the whole team a boost then the attack took hold in earnest led by midfield Luke Holden & Joshua Reynolds. Darting runs by Bernard Sweeney & Sean Brodie supplied ball into forwards Luke Trench, Gareth Kyne, Keith Boucher all pulling the defense out. 3 impact subs (James Sweeney, Senan McKeown, John Clarke) came on driving home for an emphatic win in U13's first Div2 game, having moved up from Div3.
