It was a busy weekend for Juvenile Girls teams, with some great performances. U16B girls captured the Div5 Shield Championship, defeating Robert Emmets. The U14B Girls lifted the Div 7 Shield after an exciting 3 way playoff. The U13 Girls were narrowly defeated in extra time in the Div 5 Championship. U13 Boys Footballers registered an important win in Div2. U12A hurlers defeated St. Vincents to round off a great year in Div1, while B hurlers have a promotion playoff next Sat.The club is holding an Art Exhibition from 27th to the 29th of Nov. Well done to our Senior Footballers on a great Championship campaign as they just came up short of making the final, best wishes to Ballyboden St. Endas. Thanks to the wonderful turnout of support from our club members at Parnell Park yesterday. Adult A hurlers were narrowly defeated in their final league game but now focus on the playoffs as they bid for AHL3. Congrats to the 40 girls, representing 5th and 6th Belgrove girls and U10s, U11s and U12s Clontarf GAA players, collected winning medals on the Davin end of Croke Park.
Parnell Park is the place to be this coming Sunday at 2.15pm, as our Senior's play Ballyboden in the Semi-final, of the championship. This is the first time that we have reached this stage of the competition since 1991, and we appeal to all members to go and support the team. Many thanks to all those who supported the team in their quarter final win over St Annes. The club would like to extend it's deepest sympathy to our former chairman Paul Casey and his family on the death of his mother Margaret. Team of the week are our Under 9 Girls group who performed brilliantly at the weekend, winning all of their matches and demonstrating great skill and teamwork. Senior Footballers have a big day on Sat as they take on St. Annes in the Championship quarter final in Parnell Pk, 4pm. All juvenile mentors are encouraged to bring their teams. Adult A hurlers lost out to Scoil Ui Chonaill but still remain in contention for promotion to Div 3. U16 footballers remain top of Division 3 with another fine win. Boys Under 13 A footballers produced a sparking performance to defeat Lucan, while U12B hurlers kept their promotion chances alive with a good win over Monicas. Under 11 Girls played out a close encounter with St. Brigids. We wish a speedy recovery from injury to U12 player Ciara McGoldrick.
Team of the week are our Boys Under 9 Footballers, with all 4 teams registering great wins at the weekend against opposition from St. Finians and Man O'War. Well done to our Under 13 hurlers who defeated Faughs to win the Division 2 league title. Minor hurlers finished their season with a good championship win over Thomas Davis. Under 14 A hurlers performed well against a strong Ballyboden side. Under 12 A and B footballers registered impressive wins against Ballymun and St. Pats (D). Under 12 Girls gave more outstanding performances against Scoil ui Chonaill and Foxrock/Cabinteely, while Under 11 camogie side continues to improve with each outing.

Team of the week are our Minor A Footballers, defeating Na Fianna in league Division1, thanks to a well taken 1st half Bill Perryman goal, a wonderful save from Neil O'Hanlon and vital points from Barry Davis, Nathan Doran, Cian Walsh and Rory Clarke. Minor Ladies put in a storming 2nd half to defeat Ballymun. Under 16 Girls defeated Parnells in Div1. In what was a great overall team performance a special mention to our full back line of Orla O'Callaghan, Aoibhinn McGoldrick and Hannah Fitzpatrick. Ciara Dunlea was exceptional at half back and Aoibhe Bell provided a fantastic display of score taking. U11 Footballers continue to perform brilliantly, registering 5 wins from 6 at the weekend against opposition from Naomh Olaf and Na Fianna. Team of the week is our Minor B Ladies, after a fine league win over Round Towers Lusk, with Ciara Strutt, Kate Brosnan and Lorna Fagan all starring. Senior Footballers had a good win over O'Tooles. The club is looking for members support for a number of upcoming fundraisers. We have a sports prediction quiz link on our website, just predict the winners of 24 different sports events in 2015, closing date is Sunday March 29th. Next Saturday the 28th, the club is hosting a clothes collection drive. All clothes can be dropped to our Nursery in St Pauls from 9.30 till 11.00am and at our clubhouse that afternoon from 2-5pm. Team of the Week goes to our U16 Girls who started their Div 1 league campaign with a fine win over Ballyboden. This group won Div 1 last season, becoming the 1st Clontarf Ladies team to win a Div 1 league title, well done to all involved. Intermediate hurlers started life in AHL4 with a good win over Trinity Gaels. Minor A Footballers drew with Ballymun in a terrific Div1 game. U14B hurlers also drew v Setanta. Team of the week goes to our U12 Girls Footballers, winning 7 of their 8 matches at the weekend, well done to all involved. AFL 9 footballers had an excellent win over Barrog in the league and would like to see more players coming onboard. There will be a coaching session on compiling and using Match Statistics on Wednesday night at 9pm in the clubhouse. The session is open to mentors from all our Juvenile and adult teams from U/13 up. Junior A footballers defeated Fingallianns in the cup with a super 1st half display, while Junior B's defeated Peregrines. Well done to the Dublin Senior hurlers on a historic victory in Nowlan Pk.Team of the week are our U12A Hurlers, playing their 1st competitive game of 2015 and earning a great win away to Ballyboden St. Endas with man of the match Shane Spring firing a 2nd half hat trick. Senior Footballers started life in AFL2 with an impressive 11pt win over Naomh Barrog, while Junior A's had a hard earned win in Div 6 over Naomh Fionnbarra. Minor Hurlers narrowly lost out by 1pt in a great battle with Naomh Barrog. All adult subs, players and mentors are now due and must be paid before Feb 28th. Team of the week are our Junior B footballers who kicked off their season with a good cup win over Erin Go Bragh (1-8,0-8), with Conor Murphy and Karl Ranson excellent in the backs. There were good wins in football for the Junior A's, Minor B's, U13 A and B teams, while the 3 U11 sides that travelled to Ballyboden, all won. All adult subs are now due and should be paid by 28th of Feb. Congratulations to Sarah Fagan, Caoimhe O Connor, Heather Bolger, Aoibhe Bell and Niamh Hetherton , who all made the Dublin U/16 girls squad for the coming year. A fine 2nd half performance saw our Team of the Week (U16 Footballers) defeat St. Pats Donabate, thanks to hatricks from Sean McCullagh, Rory Goode and a glorious free from Dylan Colum. U15 Boys lost in a thriller to St. Brigids (4-6,4-7), while U11 Footballers started their season with 4 impressive wins from the 6 teams. Adults subs are now due and should be paid to team mentors. Many thanks to Eugene McGee who was our guest at the Chairman's night last Saturday. Congratulations to our AFL3 management team of Noel Mc Caffrey, Anne O Mahony, Shane Dalton, Stephen Hayes and Eoghan O Grady, who won the award of mentors of the year. Our clubperson of the year award went to Brian O Callaghan, in recognition of his work in organising our World Record Training Session last May. Thanks to all club members who supported the GAA National Draw. Thanks to Tim O Mahony for organising it, and to all those who helped with the administration of the draw. There was no winner of our club lotto this week. The consolation winners were Eamon O Doherty and Collie and Trica O Connor. U16 Footballers had a winning start to the league with Sean McCullagh's (3-5) and Eoin Quigley deserving of special mention.
