Welcome to Clontarf Nursery - Fáilte go dtí an Naíolann

Cluain Tarbh has a unique, innovative and indeed pioneering nursery which dates back to 1978. Carefully introducing boys and girls to the world of Gaelic Games, the “action” takes place every Saturday morning, with presently over 400 children taking part each week.

The secret to the success of the nursery lies in the “small group syndrome” - where children enjoy coaching with a small group of pals. The emphasis is always on fun and involvement and then the skills. The club has been blessed with the many parents who come on board each year to help out and subsequently swell the number of mentors up through the ranks.

Children from 4 years old are welcome to join any Saturday morning.
Each season ends with a mini league series of hurling and football matches, culminating in a colourful finals days which has developed into one of Clontarf’s truly community events.

The Nursery season runs in conjunction with the school calendar year. For further information, contact Lead mentor Matt O'Neill (086-1527725).

Juvenile Membership Application forms can be downloaded from our 'Documents' section and returned to one of the lead mentors.

Parents are encouraged to get involved, 'many hands make light work', and we are always happy to get new mentors onboard.

Calling all children/páistí born in 2016

In 2020 we're looking forward to welcome cailíní & buachaillí (girls and boys) born in 2016 to our Nursery. Children who were  born in 2013-2015 but who didn't take part previously are of course welcome to join starting September 12th (times and venues below).

Due to numbers our 2016 Cubs session will be split between two venues. Children with surname starting A-F will be at the St. Paul's College Astro on Sybil Hill. Children with surname starting G-Z will be at our clubhouse astro on Seafield Road (between Belgrove Girls and Boys schools). Both sessions start at 9.30am.

Please note we cannot accomodate children born in 2017 until next year!

Due to Covid restrictions: Only one parent/guardian can attend and please only bring siblings where absolutely necessary. Each parent attending needs to complete a Health Questionnaire on returntoplay.gaa.ie for their child and themselves, please select Academy as the team when completing.
