*** Covid Supervisor role and safety measures: Thanks to all parents who have completed the GAA's online eLearning module (and shared a screenshot of your completion certificate) as well as completing the online Health Questionnaire for your juvenile player in advance of returning to GAA activities.
*** Re-Confirm health status before each session/match: GAA Covid-19 rules require you to re-confirm your player's health status before he attends each session or match. Mentors and others who participate in our group activities must follow the same procedure by re-confirming their own health status. For evening training, please confirm by 4pm on the day of training. For Saturday matches please confirm by 4pm on the day prior.
*** Respond to Teamer Invitations for all Training and Matches. We will use Teamer for all events, for the moment, to help us plan training groups and the required mentor cover. If your player's availability changes at short notice before a match, please inform the U13 group Lead Mentor, Enda, by text-message. Once team lists have been prepared, we do not check Teamer again on Friday evenings / Saturday mornings.
*** Players must Check-in on arrival with the Covid Supervisor before joining each training session and match. We must continue to follow social distancing rules outside of training times, as well as hand-washing before and after training/match, and each player should bring his own water bottle and personal hand-sanitiser. We can all help to keep COVID-19 at bay by continuing to follow the public health safety guidance presented in the GAA's eLearning module.
*** Resumption of League/Grading matches: A replanned schedule of Football and Hurling matches has been published by CCC2, the section of the GAA's Dublin County Board which deals with our (U13 to U16) age groups. Hurling Grading matches will resume from Sat. 22nd August, with our first Football Grading matches on Sat. 29th August. More details at: https://www.dublingaa.ie/competitions/fixtures. We will post the fixtures here, as usual, for the week ahead.

*** TÁIMID AR AIS !!! So, finally, after almost four months of a break, we are back in action this week, with Football training and challenge matches. We know you are all really looking forward to getting back together and bringing some normality back to our week. Look forward to seeing you there!!

We will continue to practice the GAA's safe return-to-play steps by: 1. Re-confirming each group member's health status each time before joining a training/match event. 2. Player's must Check-in with the Covid Supervisor at training/match before joining their group. 3. Follow HSE/GAA guidance re hand-washing before and after training/match, using hand-sanitiser, bring our own water bottle and following social distancing rulels and all safety guidance presented in the GAA's eLearning module.
News: Wednesday 16th June 2020 - **** Planning for RETURN TO PLAY from 29th June :) ****
*** Activities Suspended until 29th June: Following guidance from the government, the HSE, Dublin GAA and our club, all group training activity is suspended until 29th June, in line with current guidance on social distancing to combat the spread of COVID-19.
*** "Cancelled" football/hurling Grading matches: Matches we have missed in recent weeks will be played when the Dublin Juvenile CCC2 committee has set new dates for them, hopefully from 30th July. It appears that we may be able to organise some training matches and Challenge matches starting from 20th July.
Hi Boys and Parents! We hope you are all keeping safe and well!
As we shared with you this week in Monday's video message, it is looking very hopeful that we will be able to get back to some group training activities from 29th June, in line with the GAA's roadmap for phased Return to Play and with the government's plan for re-opening. This will be non-contact training for the moment, until the next phase, and we will be required to train in smaller groups and follow strict procedures before joining any group session. It will be different to how we are used to training - but we are looking forward to it all the same! It has been a LOOOONG break!!
In the mean time, we want each of you boys to start preparing for our return to play by working on some basic skills and on your fitness and strength.
We will share some skills you can focus on - which you can practice every day - to get our minds and bodies back in the game - and especially to get our confidence going again, working off both our left and right sides.
Below, also are some useful links which you should try a couple of times a week to get your body back in tune with some regular exercise . We all know, at this stage, how important strength and fitness are to help us keep our focus and to "stay in the game" in matches. You will recognise the material below as we have used it in training sessions before the break - with you guys giving it socks! Well done, of course, to everyone who has been keeping hmself going with his own skills work and exercise routine. Maith Sibh!
