NOTE

Below are a few things that parents can do to help the mentors run the teams, training sessions and matches more efficiently:

Komeer

  • Please install the Komeer app on your smartphone or tablet and subscribe to "Clontarf GAA Boys 2005 Parents Group"
  • See the teams details below for both football and hurling - Note that your son is on a different team for football and hurling
  • For matches please respond to alerts on Komeer by Wednesday at the latest to facilitate organising teams.
  • Please check Komeer on Friday evening/Saturday morning in the event that a match fixture is called off.
  • For Help with the Komeer app see Komeer App Support or email help@komeer.com

On Match Day / Training Sessions

  • Please be on time to allow us to warm up before the game.
  • Please make sure to bring hurley, helmet and gunmshield, if football.
  • Boys should always be kitted out in red Clontarf shirts and socks and white Clontarf shorts for matches.
  • Parents are asked to remain for the duration of fixtures/training in case weather conditions mean we have to abandon play.

Mentors & Coaching
Coaching is done on a volunteer basis and the mentors do so as a way to contribute to the community of Clontarf and surrounding areas.

  • All coaches are parents of players and are members of the club.
  • Please be respectful of the coaching staff during our training sessions and match fixtures.
  • Please arrive on time. This makes our job a lot easier and in turn a more enjoyable experience for the kids.
  • We openly encourage parents to get involved, support and encourage all of the kids regardless of ability.
  • We would however ask that you and your child listen to and follow instructions given by the mentors.
  • If you are interested in Coaching? We need more help for the 2016 season. So if you are bored standing on the side line or if you feel that you can make a positive contribution please volunteer to get involved. It is a great way to spend time with your child and be part of the community.
  • We can do with all the help we can get and don’t worry it only looks like hardwork!
