**COVIDE 19** RETURN TO PLAY PROTOCOLS

It is imperative that all parents comply with the Covid 19 Return to Play Protocols.   There are two key tasks that all parents/guardians must complete.  The first is an e-learing module and the second is an on-line health questionnaire for your son.   PLEASE NOTE IT IS ALSO MANDATORY TO UPDATE THE HEALTH QUESTIONNAIRE BEFORE EVERY TRAINING SESSION AND MATCH OTHERWISE YOUR SON CANNOT PARTICIPATE.

UPCOMING FIXTURES -  Please Take Note of Your Team, Match, Time and Location. If a player is sick, injured or unavailable, it is imperative you contact the lead mentor for your team.

MENTORING & COACHING:

  • Coaching is done on a volunteer basis and the mentors do so as a way to contribute to the community of Clontarf and surrounding areas.
  • All coaches are parents of players and are members of the club.
  • Please be respectful of the coaching staff during our training sessions and match fixtures.
  • Please arrive on time.  This makes our job a lot easier and in turn a more enjoyable experience for the boys.
  • We openly encourage parents to get involved, support and encourage all of the boys regardless of ability.  Under no circumstances should Parents walk onto the pitch to engage with match officials/referees or opposition coaches.
  • We ask that you and your son listen to and follow instructions given by the mentors.
  • We can do with all the help we can get and don’t worry it only looks like hardwork!

Training:

  • Please arrive 10 minutes before training is due to commence.
  • New players are always welcome.
  • Gum shield required for football training.
  • For hurling training, please bring your helmet and hurley and shin guards if you have them.

House Keeping:

  • Upcoming weekend fixtures are typically posted to this web page on the Wednesday evening / Thursday morning prior to our matches. But please check the website on Friday evenings in case there are any late changes / cancellations.
  • Parents are requested to contact one of the mentors should their son be unavailable for a competitive fixture. Advance notice would allow the mentors re-organise and make better use of substitutes across other teams in the squad.
  • All players and parents travelling to away fixtures (unless otherwise indicated) should meet in advance at the clubhouse on Seafield Road West. Meeting times will be indicated when the fixture is posted mid week.
  • Meeting in advance can facilitate car pooling and allow the mentors determine final squad numbers. It would also mean that players are arriving in or around the same time to away locations.
  • It is important that we arrive on time to both home and away fixtures, so the players can warm up and hit the ground running when throw in comes.
  • Match reports are generally available on a Monday evening after the weekend games are played. The reports can be found in the Clubnotes section of the "News" tab. A Login is required, but registration only takes a couple of minutes to complete.
  • For all hurling fixtures, players are required to wear a helmet and to bring their hurley. Shin guards are optional.
  • For all football fixtures, players are required to wear a gum shield.
  • For all competitive fixtures, players should wear their RED Clontarf jersey, white club shorts and red club socks unless otherwise indicated.
  • Players should drink plenty of water during and after matches and training and remember to take empty containers home.
